302/304 Full Hard Stainless Steel is an 18% chromium and 8% nickel austenitic alloy. The most familiar and used alloy in the stainless steel family. This represents an excellent combination of corrosion resistance and ease of fabrication because of some of the important properties, i.e. high strength with low weight, resistance to oxidation, ease of cleaning, the beauty of appearance, prevention of product contamination, good strength and toughness at cryogenic temperatures.

301 Full Hard Fatigue Resistant Stainless Steel Shim Flat Sheets
(91) 301 Full Hard Shim Stock is an austenitic stainless steel with a composition of 17% chromium and 7% nickel. Its combination of hardness and toughness, resistance to atmosphere corrosion and its bright surface finish make it an excellent choice for anything from aerospace applications to decorative structural components. 301 Full Hard Stainless Steel is resistant to fatigue and a variety of corrosive media. However, the corrosion properties are not as good as 302/304 (18-8 chromium-nickel) stainless steel. Its susceptibility to carbide precipitation during welding restricts its use in some applications. Can't find your material dimensions below? Click "Create Custom Cut” here or in the tab below. 316/316L Annealed Stainless Steel Shim Flat Sheets
(65) 316/316L Annealed Stainless Steel is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel containing molybdenum which increases general corrosion resistance, improves resistance to pitting from chloride ion solutions, and provides increased strength at elevated temperatures. This austenitic class contains the most formable, weldable, and corrosion-resistant stainless steel grades, but they cannot be heat treated. Properties are similar to those of Type 304 except that this alloy is somewhat stronger at elevated temperatures. Corrosion resistance is improved, particularly against sulfuric, hydrochloric, acetic, formic, and tartaric acids; acid sulfates, and alkaline chlorides. Type 316L is an extra-low carbon version of Type 316 that minimizes harmful carbide precipitation due to welding assuring optimum corrosion resistance. Can't find your material dimensions below? 316 Full Hard Stainless Steel Shim Flat Sheets
(20) 316 Full Hard stainless steel is more resistant to general corrosion and pitting/crevice corrosion than the conventional chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steels. This alloy offers higher creep, stress-to-rupture and tensile strength at elevated temperatures. These alloys are also excellent for fabrication, which are typical of the austenitic stainless steels. Can't find your material dimensions below? Click "Create Custom Cut” here or in the tab below.
