302/304 Full Hard Stainless Steel Adhesive Backed Shim Stock Flat Sheets
Each piece has a 3M adhesive peel off backing that keeps shim in place.
302/304 Full Hard Stainless Steel is an 18% chromium and 8% nickel austenitic alloy. The most familiar and used alloy in the stainless steel family. This represents an excellent combination of corrosion resistance and ease of fabrication because of some of the important properties, i.e. high strength with low weight, resistance to oxidation, ease of cleaning, the beauty of appearance, prevention of product contamination, good strength and toughness at cryogenic temperatures.

260 Half Hard Brass Adhesive Backed Shim Stock Flat Sheets
Each piece has a 3M adhesive peel off backing that keeps shim in place.
Brass 260 Half Hard Shim Stock is the most ductile of the brasses and is used in greater quantity than any other copper-zinc alloy. This alloy offers low magnetic permeability and is used in applications where corrosion problems exist. Brass 260 can be blanked, stamped, or lightly drawn due to its superb forming qualities. This Brass forms a natural thin protective layer and will not corrode when exposed to the environment. Brass 260 should not be used in projects where it will come into contact with acetic acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, or ammonia. Due to the high zinc contact, it shouldn’t be soldered.

301 Half Hard Stainless Steel Adhesive Backed Shim Stock Flat Sheets
301 Half Hard Shim Stock is an austenitic stainless steel with a composition of 17% chromium and 7% nickel. Its combination of hardness and toughness, resistance to atmosphere corrosion and its bright surface finish make it an excellent choice for anything from aerospace applications to decorative structural components. 301 Half Hard Stainless Steel is resistant to fatigue and a variety of corrosive media. However, the corrosion properties are not as good as 302/304 (18-8 chromium-nickel) stainless steel. Its susceptibility to carbide precipitation during welding restricts its use in some applications.

316 Full Hard Stainless Steel Adhesive Backed Shim Stock Flat Sheets
Each piece has 3M adhesive peel off backing that keeps the shim in place.
316 Annealed Stainless Steel is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel containing molybdenum which increases general corrosion resistance, improves resistance to pitting from chloride ion solutions, and provides increased strength at elevated temperatures. This austenitic class contains the most formable, weldable, and corrosion-resistant stainless steel grades, but they cannot be heat treated. Properties are similar to those of Type 304 except that this alloy is somewhat stronger at elevated temperatures. Corrosion resistance is improved, particularly against sulfuric, hydrochloric, acetic, formic, and tartaric acids; acid sulfates, and alkaline chlorides. Type 316L is an extra-low carbon version of Type 316 that minimizes harmful carbide precipitation due to welding assuring optimum corrosion resistance.
